Raising Risers, Inc. was founded on the belief that meaningful change begins with intentional investment in Black children. The mission is to support the healthy development of Black youth by nurturing not only their physical well-being, but also their confidence, identity, and leadership potential.

Empowered serves as an invitation for others to join in reimagining an elevated collective Black experience beyond the constraints of the status quo.

The lessons, discussions, and materials within this curriculum were thoughtfully developed from both Dr. Jones’ professional experience as a pediatrician and lived experience growing up as a Black child in America. This dual perspective grounds the content in both clinical insight and cultural understanding, making it not only informative, but deeply relevant and affirming.
